|Position Description: Responsible for assisting with facilitating shop operations and asset management.Reports to: SPO Manager and Trades ManagerEssential Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to operate and navigate trucks and trailers to facilitate shop and field operationsSchedule and perform daily pick-ups and deliveries to jobsites. Pre-Plan your routes for logistical efficiency and safetyWhen present on jobsites, duties may include but are not limited to performing physical labor in assistance with jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, site logistics, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, and construction waste areas.Stock, organize, and rearrange tools and equipment in shop and yardMaintain fleet, refueling, and registration as neededPerform required inspections of equipment and tools in shop.Assist with records of inventory up to date within an asset management software.Document condition of assets upon delivery and pick-up.Assist in periodic audits of assets.Propose other areas to grow and expand the material and equipment services of the shop.Complete and submit all daily-required shop related documents and reports.Conduct pre-task plans dailyIdentify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and or property damage.Ensure security of property. Maintain the physical condition of the shop and perform regular maintenance. Keep shop premises neat and clean.Operate equipment such as forklifts and aerial liftsObtain and maintain training/licensing for equipment used and/or supplied by the shop.Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with West Hood Construction Company standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite securityMaintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employeesAbility to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Display a high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations.|
|Qualifications: Candidates should have at least six (6) months of verifiable warehouse or shop experience.Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structure.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, maintenance and the ability to determine the appropriate tool need to do the job.Basic Computer skills and knowledge of computer applications necessaryDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsMust be able to comprehend safety instructions and signage, communicate effectively in emergency situations and understand written safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers.
